Nailsworth is a quaint Cotswold town, renowned for its selection of award winning restaurants, pubs and cafes. In need of retail therapy? Nailsworth has an array of boutique shops including a famous, first class delicatessen with fabulous fish counter, a renowned bakery, sweet shop, independent homewear and clothes shops and antique and craft shops. In need of some culture, creativity or reflection? We also have a selection of modern art galleries and a pottery which is just a few doors down from the cottage. In need of some rest and relaxation? Nailsworth has not 1, not 2, but 3 yoga studios with an array of classes from aerial yoga to reiki and sound baths (booking may need to be made in advance). Massage and holistic therapies are also available, just a couple of minutes walk from the cottage. A bit of a foodie? We have a fantastic selection of independent restaurants from fine dining, a seafood restaurant, Mediterranean restaurants, Moroccan cafe, gastropubs, Italians . . . We’re pretty well covered here! Fancy a drink? We have a great selection of pubs, a few with live music and even our own cocktail bar. Better still, all a few minutes walk back to the cottage! Wanting to be active? Nailsworth is known for its beautiful surrounding Cotswold walks and cycle routes. Feeling a little less active but want to get out and about? Electric bikes are available to rent from bike hire shops in the town centre. Have kids? The cottage is only a minutes walk from the sweet shop (divulge this to the kids at your peril! :)) Head in the other direction and you’ll find a lovely park, with a quiet skate park, outdoor table tennis table and tennis courts. Beyond that, a lovely stream in the woods to explore. Want to self cater? We have a sizeable Morrisons, small Co-op and Tesco Express, all a few minutes walk away from the cottage. Want to go further afield? We’re close to Stroud, Painswick Rococo Gardens, Westonbirt Arboretum, Tetbury, Highgrove, to name but a few.
