There'a beautiful view from the window looking over the sea to the mountains of Wester Ross. We have a small dog, still a puppy and very friendly. The room is nicely decorated with art pictures and is ensuite. A special feature is the home baking, Highland fashion, with scones and cakes gratis in the evening.
I'm a retired nurse and worked on St Kilda for a few years. I enjoyed cooking and baking. My hobbies are knitting and singing in the church choir. I like meeting people from different countries and hearing their stories.
It is a great place for hill-walking and for exploring the countryside. We are 2 miles from the Quiraing which is a favourite place for walkers and 15 miles from Storr which is equally popular. Staffin is well-known for dinosaur fossils and there is a dinosaur museum nearby. There is a museum of island life 8 miles from our house showing how things were in the past. My favourite place is the Quiraing and the view from the top.
