Sitting in the pretty village of Langton Herring and close to The Fleet Lagoon which runs behind famous Chesil Beach, East Cottage is a spacious semi-detached cottage providing comfortable accommodation for up to eight guests.

Information correct at time of writing. Chesil Beach is a famous part of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and only a short walk from the property. East Cottage is situated just 5 miles from the timeless village of Abbotsbury, and the impressive landmark of St Catherine’s Chapel. Abbotsbury has a number of attractions to visit, including a Swannery, where you can see mute swans on their nests and feed the cygnets. The Subtropical Gardens have won awards, there are lots of exotic and unusual flowers on display. St Catherines Chapel was built in the 14th century and sits in splendid isolation overlooking Chesil Beach. The walk up to the chapel is well worth it, with views stretching for miles. Look out for the ‘wishing holes’ in the chapel. Langton Herring is situated just five miles from the seaside town of Weymouth with a Georgian seafront and 17th century harbour. If you’re bringing the little ones, Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park gives them the chance to be a pirate or a mermaid for the day, while they learn about the magical creatures off the southern coast. Weymouth also makes a great base for walking cycling or riding. Popular routes include the Rodwell Trail which goes from Weymouth to Portland and the RSPB Radipole Lake Walk. Weymouth Pavilion situated on the Esplanade offers a range of entertainment with something suitable for all the family. The Jurassic Coast is an area rich in fossils. One of the best places to explore the history is Lyme Regis, where you can visit the museum, go on fossil walks or stroll up the iconic harbour wall, known locally as The Cobb. Other must-see sights along this unique coastline include Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. Both of these fascinating and photogenic features have been carved out by the sea over millions of years.
