Sowerbys Holiday Cottages started up in 2002 and has grown gradually with a portfolio of 300 hand-picked cottages we would all like to stay in. Appreciating the need to be nearby in the event of any issues that need resolving, we have deliberately limited the range of our cottages to a relatively small localised area of outstanding natural beauty, within 20 minutes drive of Burnham Market. We pride ourselves on offering a personal, professional service to both our owners and our guests. Our owners can relax in the knowledge that we are looking after all aspects of their holiday homes; and our guests can relax knowing that we all live locally and have a genuine desire to help in the event of an emergency, or simply to offer local advice on what to do, where to eat etc.

Quintessentially charming, Edinburgh House is a large end of terrace house in the heart of the leafy village of Burnham Market. This much loved traditional and spacious family holiday home has the benefit of high ceilings, wooden floors and many original features, set over 3 floors. There is a stylish and rustic kitchen with dining area, leading through to a bright and spacious sitting room which has a door leading to the fully enclosed walled garden. Follow the wide set of original stairs to the first floor to Two king size bedrooms and a double bunk bedroom and bathroom with roll top bath. A second set of stairs on the landing leads up to the top king size bedroom which has a further small shower room. There is a charming fully enclosed walled garden with lawn and brick weave paving a table and chairs. This house is ideally positioned only minutes walk from the village green with on-street parking. The beautiful North Norfolk coast may easily be reached within a 10 minute drive.

Possibly one of the prettiest villages in North Norfolk, this Georgian village is within easy access to the North Norfolk Coast, still with a quaint feel, with many trendy shops. The village retains a ‘step back in time’ feel with leafy green trees and picturesque village green. Burnham Market has a traditional post office, book shop and hardware shop as well as beautiful boutiques and lifestyle shops, from the butchers and baker to fine dining and deli’s. There’s a superb fishmonger Gurneys with locally caught seafood including Brancaster mussels and Cromer crab - be sure to try the amazing fresh fishcakes. It’s a lovely village to visit to peruse the shops or even for a bite to eat in one of the restaurants. There are a lot of eateries to choose from… The Hoste for fine dining or afternoon tea, No Twenty9, The Nelson, award-winning Socius, Burnham Tearoom, or Tilly’s Cafe, there’s something to suit every taste. There is also a children’s play park, hard tennis courts and two parish churches one at each end of the village. If in need of a little pampering why not book a treatment or two at The Hoste Beauty Spa. With a scenic ride to the coast, you can enjoy lazy days on the beaches of Brancaster or Wells. Alternatively pull on your walking boots and investigate diverse coastal path walks, taking in all the birds and wildlife. Leave the car behind and pop on the Coastal Hopper bus and do a tour from Wells and The Burnhams to Norfolk's west coast. Don't forget to visit Holkham which not only has a superb beach, but majestic Holkham Hall which is well worth a visit: hire a boat on the lake, hop on a bike to explore the woodlands, test your bravery on the rope course, play in the woodland play park, take in the breathtaking rooms and art in the main house or simply enjoy tea and cake in the courtyard cafe. If big houses are your thing there are many others to visit with Houghton Hall and its fantastic sculpture collection, the house and grounds of Royal Sandringham...
