Situated down a quiet lane, the large Georgian property offers peace and tranquillity with stunning views of Swaledale from all rooms. The exceptionally large bedrooms are furnished with a table and arm chairs to enable guests to relax after a day out in the dales. Both en-suite bathrooms, with waterfall showers were newly refurbished for the proposed opening in 2020. (postponed until March 2022 due to pandemic.) We offer a warm Yorkshire welcome and nothing will be too much trouble to ensure that your stay at Ellerton Lodge is perfect. We have an abundance of local knowledge about the area and are more than happy to give guidance about proposed days out etc. For keen gardeners, the walled garden is a work in progress, planted with espalier fruit trees, cottage garden plants and a collection of David Austin roses.

Ellerton Lodge is situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. An area of outstanding beauty, there is something for everyone. Richmond Castle, The Georgian Theatre Royal, Hawes Creamery, Aysgarth Falls are all within easy reach. The Coast to Coast route passes within half a mile of the property. The area was made famous by the original James Herriot series and remains largely unspoilt.
