Situated less than a mile west of the A1 means Fairways Cottage gives access to the wild hills to the west and the golden stretch of coastline to the east. The picturesque village of Bamburgh, protected by its magnificent castle, is less than 6 miles to the east. A couple of miles further down the coastline is where boat trips to the Farne Islands depart regularly from its harbour. The small town of Wooler is situated 10 miles west of Belford and is a popular destination for those who enjoy outdoor activities. The challenging route of ‘St Cuthbert’s Way’ runs close by.
