Close by are several beaches, including the National Trusts Sandymouth, Widemouth bay, Crooklets and Summerleaze beaches. Located on the edge of a family run holiday park. You can choose to be as private and tucked away, or get involved in the local entertainment as you like. The free carparking is onsite, however, it is about 100m down hill to the lodge from the carpark. This Lodge boasts a private enclosed garden to enjoy the stunning views down ‘The Coombe’ to Duck Pool Beach with a barbecue and outside dining area. The lodge has an electricity meter which is payable by top up cards. These are available to purchase from ‘the Cabin’ on Penstowe Park. Details in your welcome pack. 10pounds credit will be on the meter when you arrive. You shouldn’t need any more than 20 for a week in summer months. (Depending on usage) Due to the path down to the lodge from teh carpark, this property is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties.

Penstowe Park is a family run, small park with a variety of different style holiday homes. Situated on the outskirts of Kilkhampton, with easy access to Bude. Kilkhampton has a Coop, pubs and takeaways. Parking near the lodge is good with a large car park - walk about 100metres down to the lodge. ‘The Cabin’ is just opposite the entrance for the Manor House. This is where you can purchase additional electricity cards.
