You can literally walk for miles from Harpley, barely crossing a road or passing other traffic. It’s a very short drive (or bikeable on quiet lanes) to Houghton Hall & Gardens, and a little further to HM The King’s Sandringham Estate, both well worth a visit while you are in the area. The neighbouring village of Great Massingham is one of the loveliest around, with large greens and duck ponds, a fine village shop, café and the hugely popular Dabbling Duck pub.
