Nether Finlarg Farm is an arable farm located in Angus, 6 miles north of Dundee. The farm has been awarded a number of Conservation awards over the years. Thousands of trees have been planted to create hedges and woodland that have created one of the most impressive habitats in the region. For such a small farm, over 9 km of hedges and 40 acres of woodland have been planted. Nether Finlarg also creates local employment through the creation of industrial units in the farm buildings. We are also in the process of creating a small equestrian centre teaching children around the local area to horse ride. Grasswalks have been created around every field to allow for easy access for any walker wanting to explore the farm.

Welcome to Nether Finlarg farm! Our glamping site sits at the north side of the farm. The Cabin was a big restoration project during lockdown, as its history was just as its name suggests - a farmers cabin used for long nights during harvest time. We originally made this as a living area for the tents but we later realised it was too good an opportunity not to make into a livable space. The ideal choice for a home away from home, the cabin’s layout is studio-style: offering a chic new kitchen, relaxing double bed and sofa for the ultimate comfort during your stay - we made the bed out of fence posts and a cattle trough. It also boasts panoramic views of the farm’s scenery through large windows, perfect for lazy days or morning coffee at the built-in breakfast bar. Guests who stay at the Farmer's Cabin have access to standard kitchen utilities in the cabin, heating, electricity, as well as a private toilet and shower in the communal bathroom area just 20 metres away. The cabin is located looking out towards our horses, fields, and Finlarg Hill, one of the many along the Sidlaws. The Cabin is also West facing so the sunsets can be stunning. You are also in an ideal place to go on walks around the farm and can lay your eyes on roe deer, buzzards, owls, hare, rabbits, pheasants, stoats, and a number of other countryside species. Parking is available 30 metres from the cabin.

The farm is fairly isolated but you're never too far away from someone with the industrial units, and our neighbours just down the road. The farm is in between Forfar and Dundee, is 35km from St Andrews, 36km from Lunan Bay, 15km from Glamis Castle and a short 15 minute drive into the heart of Dundee.
