This new bungalow is in the beautiful village of High Newton near Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria. Ideal for a break to get away from it all and explore this lovely part of the country. It has a private double bedroom with all the necessary amenities, such as Sky TV, tea and coffee making facilities,biscuits, small fridge, microwave, cooling fan, bottled water, sofa, dining table and views of the southern fells and a separate private bathroom with free standing bath and walk-in shower, basin and WC. I serve warm Croissants for breakfast and this includes, butter, jams and orange juice, served in your room. Other alternatives are available, on request. I do have a cocker spaniel dog in my home, he is very friendly and shares the entrance hall area with you. If you have a pet allergy or dislike dogs, then my place is not suitable for you.

There is a pub in the village called Heft (One Michelin Star) prior booking is essential, if you want to dine, and a daytime café nearby at Yew Tree Barn. A little further afield is the town of Grange-over-Sands where there are beautiful parks and gardens and is situated alongside Morecambe Bay. Less than ten minutes away are the shores of Lake Windermere where you can pick up a steamer and cruise up the lake to Bowness-on-Windermere and the pretty village of Ambleside. This is an ideal base for exploring the whole of the Lake District.
