Hi, I live in the fabulous seaside town of Whitstable, where I own 3 quirky vintage inspired boutiques. I love travelling with my husband, Adrian, walking my rather silly cockapoo, and spending time at the beach with the family . Most of all I like to sit on my beach hut veranda and watch a Whitstable sunset with friends, and of course a glass of wine! As a host, and founder of Whitstable-Holidays, I look after our eight family properties, with the help of husband Adrian and sons, Fred and Tom. We really are a local family business and love to share our very special seaside town with others. We are local and will endeavour to do all we can to make your stay a very pleasant one.

Moments from the beach, Harbour, boutiques and eateries, Fig Cottage oozes luxury charm. With its newly converted cool mellow interiors, lofty living and generous eating areas, it is a wonderful space to spend time with friends and family. Think a pampering free-standing bath, Egyptian cotton sheets and fluffy white towels. Three generous bedrooms (one with a secret bunk) in relaxing tones give a fabulous nights sleep after a long walk on the beach or a sea dip. An airy open-plan living space, with a comfy velvet sofa, gives some down time after a day on the beach and a large convivial dining table a place to enjoy casual suppers, with patio doors open to the garden. The kitchen is newly fitted in cool blues, and leads on to a sunny courtyard for a relaxing glass of something chilled. A downstairs cloakroom adds convenience. The three luxury bedrooms and spacious bathroom are arranged over two floors, with wide wooden floorboards, a multitude of original features and antique furniture. White slatted blinds add light and shade.

Whitstable is a thriving bustling little gem of a seaside town on the North Kent Coast, with a multitude of award-winning eateries, catering for all tastes, and excellent independent shopping. The working fishing harbour has fish markets and restaurants, and the galleries showcase the arts heritage. Really friendly locals, gorgeous beach walks and cycle paths galore make for happy days out. And of course there is always fish and chips on the beach watching the amazing Turner inspired sunsets..... Fig Cottage is seconds from a bus stop which can take you directly into historic Canterbury, less than 7 miles away, or down the coast towards Herne Bay (sandy beach) and beyond. The train station is a twelve minute walk away, and fast trains from London arrive on the half hour or nip down to uber cool Margate for an arts fix at the Turner Contempory Gallery. Parking for Fig Cottage is free in adjacent streets (no restrictions) or in local car parks, all within a very short walking distance. Please note there is no parking on site.
