Situated in the picturesque Scottish Borders Unique in character and set in the heart of the town of Galashiels. Rose Cottage is a 200 year old traditional stone house which has been lovingly renovated to a very high standard. Quirky, and cosy it contains, one small double bedroom, a lounge with a log fire, kitchen and a fantastic shower room both with underfloor heating. Close to Heriot Watt University, the Borders Railway and Town Centre.

I am a freelance graphic designer, a mother, cleaner, cook and loves to travel. I have lived in the Scottish Border for 15 years and love it, there's so much to see and do here. I love being just an hour away from Edinburgh, a quick journey on the train. We live locally so are always nearby should you need any assistance. We've provided lots of information in the cottage with regard to local bars, restaurants and local attractions. But we are here to help with any questions or guidance to the area.

Very central to the Town Centre in a quiet location, close to shops and to Heriot Watt University and the Borders Railway. Galashiels is one of the larger towns in the Borders and we are situated a 2 minute walk from the town centre and rail and bus links. Galashiels has many shops, we love to shop local but there is a 24 hour Asda and Tesco. There are great pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes. And for entertainment there are parks, MacArts Venue for live bands and entertainment, there’s a cinema, a great gym and swimming pool. Other town and villages nearby are Melrose, Selkirk, Jedburgh, Kelso, Hawick and Peebles. There is a train to Edinburgh which takes 50 minutes. Places of interest include the Melrose Abbey, Abbotsford House (home of Sir Walter Scott) and much more. Surrounding towns are Melrose, Jedburgh, Hawick and Kelso. There are also many wonderful scenic walks in the Scottish Borders and our town is renowned for fishing, rubgy and biking trails. Walk into town centre is 2 mins, and there is street parking. You have regular buses to all over the Borders and train a 50 min beautiful scenic ride into Edinburgh.
