Glenfalloch Beag is a semi detached, self-contained apartment consisting of two bedrooms with comfortable king size beds and each with an en-suite shower room. There is a living area with sofa and comfortable chairs and a compact kitchenette area with fridge, kettle, microwave, coffee machine, toaster (PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO HOB OR COOKER). French doors lead out to your private garden area and parking. We wanted to create a great place to relax after a busy day exploring the island. Guests will be provided with a welcoming malt whisky on arrival. On the day of your arrival we supply bread, milk, orange juice, butter and an assortment of jams. Assorted teas and coffee pods are also provided. We have displayed some original and local artwork and we are more than happy to share our knowledge and our love of Skye. We have maps and various guide books available for guests to use. We live in the adjoining property so we will always be here to greet you on arrival and provide assistance during your stay, if required.

Myself and my wife Sandra, have lived on Skye most of our lives and in Torvaig for the last 25 years. We both love walking, gardening, fly-fishing and Sandra likes to get out on her road bike whenever she can. Guest areas are kept animal free (apart from the wild rabbits that visit the garden).

Torvaig is located in a beautiful rural location just two miles north of Portree, the Island’s capital. It is a crofting community so it is not uncommon to see sheep and cows being herded along the road from field to field. It is the perfect base for exploring the whole island whilst being only a short (5 minute) drive from shops, restaurants, etc. It is near to many of the “must see” destinations such as The Old Man of Storr, The Quiraing, Fairly Glen and Pools, Neist Point and many more including the Cuillin mountain range. There are dinosaur footprints to be found at Staffin Beach and more recently at Brothers Point and in Duntulm, in the north of the Island. There are many ways to see the wildlife and different landscapes that the island has to offer. We would recommend pre-booking restaurant meals especially in the busy summer months.
