We are a family run B&B/short stay/holiday let. We have converted stables on what was part of a working farm a few years ago, please don’t come expecting a landscaped garden or anything like Hyde Park as the paddocks are left to grow once the sheep have grazed to make hay and there are some rough areas of grass with some farm equipment on out the back of the place. Around the conversions it’s all paved with gravelled areas with a gravelled parking area. Each place has its own outside seating area with chairs.
I run the lets myself so please be mindful I am working alone, no staff to help with turn around between guest, please respect check in and out times. All 3 places are across the yard from the house, you have a place to yourself and are left to your own devises.
Each of the places has its own kitchen and shower room, all self-catering, cereal, milk, orange juice, tea, coffee, jam and butter are left in each kitchen for you to make your own breakfast.
We are in a great location for a peaceful stay, we are up a single-track lane so there's no noise from traffic. The local pub The Red Lion just over a mile away serving home cooked food, booking in advance is recommended. If a taxi is needed, I recommend Peacock Cars, book straight away whether your reservation is a month or so in advance, please don't leave booking a taxi a couple of days before its needed or on arrival as you won't to get one.
Cambridge is 40 minutes away so you can explore the university's or go punting down the river Camb. If you fancy a day out in Newmarket visiting the Horse Racing Museum with an afternoon at the Races, 40 minutes away. Duxford Air Museum and the old market town of Saffron Walden is 8 miles. The nearest pub The Red Lion offering an Italian Menu is 1 mile away, The Radwinter plough 3 miles away offers an American Dinner menu whilst the Fox Inn Finchingfield and Tea Rooms makes a lovely afternoon visit to sit on the green by the pond and watch the world go buy.
