The Stables. Originally a workshop and stable this cottage boasts uninterrupted views across the moors and is perfectly positioned to watch the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Train travel by. A specially designed glass roof allows visitors incredible views of the dark Yorkshire night skies. The Stables is attached to the owners farm house and has its own private entrance. Suitable for couples and one well behaved dog for a small charge.

We can also help you make the most of your stay by recommending local places to eat, places to visit, and some incredible local walks.

The cottage is situated in a quiet rural landscape with amazing views across the Esk valley. The nearest villages are a 20 min walk, or a short cycle/drive away. There are some great pubs for lunch and a nearby farm shop for local produce. The local pub (Birch Hall Inn, Beckhole), is only a 20 min walk away. You'll ideally have a car, or a sturdy pair of legs, for making the most of the North York Moors National Park. From the farm you can do some amazing walking and cycling. We've done plenty of the best local routes, so we can give you some advice, depending on your energy levels and time. The famous villages of Grosmont and Goathland (Heartbeat) are a short walk in either direction, or you can take a ride on the wonderful North York Moors steam railway.
