The area is very remote, although there are 2 lovely supermarket shops in the village, 1.5km down our track, in Glenridding. The village sits on the shores of Ullswater, so beautiful Steamer trips available up and down the lake. Lots to explore if you like a quiet place. 2 cafes, and 4 bars which all serve great food in the village.
