The building dates back to the 16th centaury, with gorgeous architecture and views of surrounding Perth. You wont find the galleys and armouries inside! Not every neighbourhood has a 16th Century castle in it! We have some interesting information on the history of the building and the local area which you can read when you stay. Although a mainly residential neighbourhood, there is a small, well-run Co-op supermarket just 2 streets away (17 Darnhall Drive PH2 0HD) which is open 6am-10pm 7 days a week. Also nearby are tennis courts (Darnhall Tennis Club, Orchard Place PH2 0HS, and a golf course (Craigie Hill Golf Club, PH2 0NE. The nearest children's playpark is in Darnhall Crescent and there's also a great one outside Perth Leisure Pool which is less than 15 minutes away on foot and just 3 minutes in the car (Glasgow Road, Perth, PH2 0HZ). The swimming pool complex opens at 10 am everyday. There's also a good pub within walking distance, The Cherrybank Inn, which serves quality food and drinks with friendly service.
