Holmws is a non-working farm, and the cottages are a barn conversion. They are Pembrokeshire stone, quiet, and in a safe location. It is a 15 minute walk to the sea, the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, a small inlet, or a 10 minute drive to a large beach. Or head south on foot and join the slopes of Carningli in the Preseli Hills, part of the famous Pembrokeshire National Park. The cottages are designed to be comfortable with all the amenities you need for a self catering holiday, whether that be a weekend or a month! The hosts live on site and are happy to help with local advice, or just a chat! Kayaks, bikes etc can be stored safely. Dark skies at night are worth staying up for! North Pembrokeshire is beautiful, with the Irish sea, mountains, hills and dales, woodlands, pretty rivers, standing stones and Celtic history. Welsh is spoken locally along with English, and Newport and its surrounding welcome visitors. Beach holiday, walking holiday, historic sites, pubs and food are all available locally. The cottages are 200m from the main road with parking by each cottage. We hope to welcome you soon!

We love living in Newport, Pembs, are very involved with our small town. We have dogs and cats and welcome pets to Holmws. Andrew loves to play tennis and we take full advantage of our rural location with walks, kayaks and the odd pint!

The nearby sea invites you to swim, paddle, paddle board, sail, kayak, etc. Surfing beaches are a 45 minute drive. The main beach has RNLI lifeguards in high season, and the excellent 'caffi mawr' serving teas, coffees, ice cream and so much more. There are mountains to climb (ok, small mountains and you can walk up but...), rivers to walk beside, woodlands full of fauna, truly a walkers paradise. There are 4 pubs in our very small town, several cafes and restaurants, a boat club, a links golf club, tennis courts. Shops include a wholefood shop, butcher, ironmonger, Spar, Post Office, clothes and gifts, a pharmacy, galleries. Further afield are larger supermarkets in Fishguard and Cardigan. Our guests return year on year, and at all times of the year - each season brings its own pleasures and weather!
