The ultimate icon of 'cool' our Airstream has a kingsize bed in a separate bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, well equipped kitchen/diner, living area and private patio. The Shepherd's hut has a pull down sofa bed/dining area, a well equipped kitchen, ensuite shower room and private patio. The three bed country cottage dates from the 18th century and sleeps 4 in two singles and one kingsize rooms. It has a log burner in the living room, a well equipped kitchen and private garden. All units have private parking for up to 2 cars. Whether you are on a romantic getaway or a family holiday, our accommodation options offer both comfort and luxury in a beautiful rural setting. Additional sleeping arrangements (travel cots, single and double air beds with towels/bedding) can be provided for a fee in all units. We also permit two well-behaved dogs to stay per property and provide a doggie welcome pack as part of the fee for your ‘fur-baby’. Please enquire at time of booking. Chase Farm is a working farm located in Southwater where the Edwards family have been residents since 1955. Originally a dairy farm, the land is now grassland. Depending on the time of year, you might have sheep grazing nearby or witness the exciting hay harvest in action! You will also have the opportunity to see and hear the local wildlife in the fields from your accommodation; from roe deer, pheasants and foxes to buzzards, tawny and barn owls. Southwater village developed in the 19th century when the brickworks opened in 1891 to take advantage of the vast Sussex clay reserves. It closed in 1981. These red engineering bricks were especially strong and were used worldwide for bridges, infrastructure and housing, including Chase Farm.
