At James' Places we like to offer you individually styled accommodation that is unique and a bit quirky. The property is located within the town of Merthyr Tydfil so is in a town setting but within a minutes drive of The Brecon Beacons, Pen Y Fan, Bike Park Wales, The Four Water Falls and Zip World. This gives you the benefit of being next door to the countryside but all close to the shops, restaurants and pubs. Enjoying your stay is our main priority so we send out a list of suggested things to do and our favourite places to eat to help you make the most of your time with us with the confidence that these activities and places to eat have our seal of approval. We love our dogs so we are delighted to welcome them to for a small charge. We are a family run business and have been operating since 2016 and have 4 houses and 14 studios at different locations around Merthyr Tydfil. We have a loyal team who have been with us since the beginning and their priority is also to make you happy.

James' Place Castle Cottage is the holiday retreat every family or group is looking for. The home is in James' Place quirky and uber cool style. The home can sleep up to 6 guests, has a hot tub for which there is a small charge, we are dog friendly for which there is a small charge per dog per stay and we are family friendly. If you wish to use the Hot Tub please ensure you let us know that you wish to use to ensure we turn it on ready for your arrival. Downstairs is open plan. The lounge comfortably sits 6 people and has a Smart TV. For those that want or need to stay connected to the outside world there is free super-fast broadband throughout the house. There are bifold doors that open the cottage up to the outdoor dining area. The open plan Kitchen/Dinner is fully equipped with induction hob & oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher and all the appliances you need to make your stay easy and low maintenance. The cupboards are fully stocked with crockery, glass wear, pots, saucepans and utensils to ensure every guest is catered for. The dining table seats 6 and overlooks the garden area through the Bifold doors. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms accessed via our Zebra print carpeted stairs (super cool!). There are 2 x double bedrooms that can be set up with double or twin beds. There is a newly created shower room with walk in shower. No expense has been spared on the garden it is a a great outdoor area for adults and kids alike. There is a cool outdoor dining area and a hot tub.

The cottage is a 2 min drive from Cyfartha Castle which was originally the home of the Iron Master Crayshaw and sits within the grounds of a park. 5/10 min drive from the entrance to the Brecon Beacons and Bike Park Wales 15/20 min drive from Zip World
