Laundry Cottage is a traditional Estate Cottage built in the 1800's. Originally home to the Estate Laundress. This 2 up/2 down, with a later addition for a kitchen, has been completely refurbishes in January 2020 with a new Royal Approved Howdens kitchen, new bathroom with British Handmade Tiles, new beds, carpets, furniture, the whole lot! It has a large king size bedroom overlooking the courtyard of the 'big house' (a beautiful listed building with turrets and castellations) and a second bedroom with a single and small doubled bed, black out curtains, large walk in storage room. Downstairs is the renovated bathroom with bath and over power shower, sitting/dinner area with TV and kitchen. There is no shortage of hot water or heating - all powered environmentally by our own grown wood biomas - all you have to do is turn the heating up or down on the radiators. The views are amazing in this area - over the Nith Valley on one side and Lake District on the other. Biking and walking is fantastic. Own garden, shed and BBQ area. Private parking. Up to 2 dogs welcome by prior arrangement. Twenty five pounds cash on arrival per dog. Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on furniture or to be left in the property on their own. Additional cleaning and all damage must be paid for if this is the case.

We are very excited to welcome guests to Laundry Cottage. We live nearby so are easily available but won't come round unless asked to.

Laundry Cottage is situated in a rural location in SW Scotland. You are more likely to see birds of prey, red squirrels, roe deer, swans, ducks and all sorts of wildlife than people. There is minimal light and noise pollution.
