Situated in the tranquil rural Orkney countryside on the shore of the Swannay Loch you will find a peacefull getaway. Your accommodation is an attic conversion with stunning views over the loch and surrounding countryside. Centrally situated between Kirkwall and Stromness both a half hour drive away. Whether you have an interest in fishing, hiking, bird watching, archaeology or sightseeing we offer an ideal base for your daily adventures. You will find many fine places to dine within easy reach.
Guests are welcome to sit and enjoy the garden areas including the blue cabin.
Our home is just a stones throw away from the edge of the Swannay Loch which is renowned for it's wild brown trout, if you are a keen fisher then it does not get much better than this, the area of the loch adjacent to the house is a hot spot and I regularly catch trout from the shore.
For the birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiast there is much to savor, hen harriers can be observed hunting over the surrounding fields and moorland. Brown hares are present in abundance and can be seen on the lawn at various times of day. Early in the morning and last thing at night pheasants pass the house in numbers.
