Lower Flat is situated on the ground floor of Hillhouse. It is one of the oldest residential houses in the village dating back to 1827. It has been in the same family throughout the generations and the main house is lived in by family members. Lower Flat has been a home to both hosts and their partners over the years and as their families grew they moved on. Due to the property being old it has some quirky points remember it was built before the invention of a spirit level. We have spent time getting it ready for your holiday and have modernised all the rooms although we have kept the bathroom suite as we love the retro it creates in a old building. There is a wood burning stove in the living room which when on generates the heat around the plumbed in radiators. There is also electric radiators in the rooms. The bathroom has a electric shower over the bath. If you are walking from the village the flat is situated up hill.

We are siblings and decided to holiday let the flat until maybe one of our own children would like to live in it when they are older, like we did ourselves.

Lower Flat is a minute walk from the village square. This means you are right in the heart for access to all the restaurants, shops, banks and local hospital and doctors surgery. The buses and taxis run from the square and the harbour is just down the hill.
