Bank Cottage Studio is a former recording studio converted into a spacious barn style apartment, perfect for a complete getaway yet with lots to explore close by if you wish. With high ceilings, exposed whitewashed beams, contemporary furnishings, oak flooring with underfloor heating, a large lounge with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, and a cosy bedroom & ensuite bathroom (with a bath & shower) it's ideal for couples. Enjoy your morning coffee at the bistro table outside or catch the warm evening sun with a glass of wine in the spacious front garden; the front lawn is for your exclusive use throughout your stay, where you can watch the birds at the feeder, talk to our cats (who LOVE visitors but are not allowed in the Studio) or just soak up the quiet. There's Superfast Broadband, perfect for those who want to work or watch streamed TV. Where are we? Bank Cottage Studio is set right back off the road that runs through the quiet conservation village of Great Wolford, which is entirely surrounded by fields and farmlands so we have some lovely walks straight from the front door. Yet being on the borders of 3 English counties (Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire) you can easily visit many well-known villages, towns and National Trust sites. Moreton in Marsh and Shipston on Stour, both market towns, are just 5 minutes (6kms) away. Stratford upon Avon, Banbury, Evesham, Burford and Cheltenham are between 30 and 45 minutes. Villages between 15 and 25 minutes away include Batsford, Bloxham, Bourton on the Water, Broadway, Burford, Chastleton, Chipping Camden, Chipping Norton (with Diddly Squat and Soho Farmhouse), Compton Verney, Daylesford, Evenlode, Guiting Power, Hidcote, Hook Norton, Ilmington, Kingham, Sezincote, Snowshill, Stow on the Wold, Temple Guiting, Upper and Lower Slaughter, Whichford and the town of Woodstock with the stunning Blenheim Palace. Oxford centre is just 35 minutes on the train from Moreton in Marsh.

We live in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside and having travelled widely, giving us a love of quality accommodation, which we hope we've created for you at Bank Cottage Studio in Great Wolford near Moreton in Marsh. We won’t disturb you but if we are home we're happy to chat and offer you a cuppa or beer or glass of wine! We are professional environmentalists and particularly welcome energy and environmentally conscious guests - the Studio is fully insulated and powered by renewable energy from an Air Source Heat pump and hot water from solar panels.

Great Wolford is a quiet village just 6 minutes'; drive from Moreton in Marsh in one direction, Shipston on Stour in the other. Free offstreet parking in a private, dedicated space of your own. You'll need a car, or a bike, or, if you come by train to Moreton in Marsh (5 mins drive), there are some brilliant local taxi drivers you can book in advance for station collections and drop offs, as well as local trips. Booking in advance is a must during Summer when towns get busy! Moreton train station has trains to Oxford (35 minutes journey) every hour.
