Shoemakers Cottage is a timber-framed cottage dating from about the C17th and situated on a quiet narrow no-through road.
From the front door you enter the stunning sitting room, with the original brick floor, and timbers throughout the ceiling and walls. There is a log burner for the colder months with a basket of logs included. A smart TV and DVD player. A selection of books and DVDs, as well as puzzles, board games, and children's toys.
The modern light and airy kitchen with a glass roof light, has all the equipment you need - a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven, hob, and microwave etc. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could want. The utility area has a washer/dryer and an iron. A pull-out washing line is in the courtyard. French doors from the kitchen into the tiled courtyard area with seating and gas bbq.
The luxury walk-in shower has a Mira shower with a rainfall head and a separate hand-held head. With a heated towel rail, a built-in vanity sink unit with a cupboard below and a mirror above.
The original steep cottage staircase leads up to the landing with a separate upstairs WC and washbasin.
The stunning master bedroom has a king-size bed with a bespoke canopy above. Off to the side is a dressing area with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and freestanding slipper bath. Hairdryer and straighteners are available to use. Wall-mounted smart TV.
From the landing an alternate tread staircase to 2nd bedroom - two 3ft full-size single beds, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Halesworth boasts an array of independent shops - pottery painting, a bookshop, and plant shop to numerous beauty businesses and hair stylists if you need some pampering. With a butcher, fishmonger, and a bakery all a stone's throw away. There are several delis to choose from and numerous places to eat and drink - 3 pubs, numerous cafes and restaurants. The fantastic pet shop even has doggie icecream!
Guests love to visit The Black Dog deli for morning coffee and pastries, which is only a minute from the doorstep. The Boarding House restaurant is another guest favourite as are the White Hart and Angel pubs, as all are a few minutes walk away it is so convenient. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and takeaways, two of our favourites is the Seashells fish and chip shop, just a couple of minutes walk away, and an afternoon pot of tea and delicious cake from Rhubarb and Rose café.
There are so many places to go walking from the doorstop. Halesworth boasts a fantastic 50-acre green space called the Millennium Green, with an all-weather track, essential in the wetter months! So much to explore.
Halesworth also has the only camel park in the country. The town has a museum about the history of the town and is near the station. The town benefits from a theatre called The Cut, which also has a cafe too. The library is next door but one to the cottage.
There is so much to explore in the surrounding area, Southwold and the Heritage Coast are so near you will be spoilt for choice, with Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, and Dunwich all nearby. Sutton Hoo and Flatford Mill are within easy reach. The wonderful city of Norwich is just 25 miles away and well worth a visit.

Train station in the town a five-minute walk away with easy access to London.
