Mandalay is ideally located for walks to Stonehenge (30-40 mins), Durrington Walls, Woodhenge, Old Sarum, or day trips to Salisbury, the New Forest, Bath and Winchester. It's about a ten minute walk over the River Avon, on past the Abbey, to Amesbury town centre where you can find several pubs, restaurants and takeaways, a variety of independent shops including gift shops, baker and butcher, supermarkets, bank, tourist information office and the new local history museum with tea room and gift shop. There are good bus links to Salisbury and the local area. The holiday home is an annexe to the main house, has a private entrance, opening to the living room and dining area. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom (bath with shower over), a twin bedroom (1 or 2 single beds) with access to the garden, and a kitchen with a ceramic hob and oven, microwave, compact under counter fridge/freezer and washing machine. Guests are welcome to enjoy the garden and patio which has a table and chairs for up to 6 people. Upstairs there is a further twin bedroom (2 single beds), a super bathroom with power shower, and a spacious double bedroom (king-size bed) with countryside views. Free parking for two vehicles (a third space is available on request) on the property driveway.

We know it's your holiday so we'll be invisible, but we live in the main part of the house and will be available if you need anything.

Family run Mandalay is within the Stonehenge UNESCO World Heritage site in Amesbury, the oldest continuously occupied settlement in Great Britain (since 8820 BC). The house and garden is within Vespasian’s Camp (43 AD) in a meandering bend of the River Avon. It’s a perfect base for families, walkers, business guests, anglers and tourists.
