Bookings: Please be aware that we only offer weekly or fortnightly bookings (Friday to Friday) from Easter to September. Requests for short stay bookings are dependent on the availability of our changeover team. 'Myrtle Cottage Findhorn': Myrtle Cottage is a 150 year old stone built fisherman's cottage, nestled in the laneways of Findhorn Village. We have beautiful art on the walls, a wood burning fireplace, and an enclosed garden which acts as a suntrap, with ample seating and an outside table. The cottage: Bedrooms: One double, two twins. Upstairs are a double room, and a twin room, as well as a bathroom with bathtub and toilet (no shower).There is second twin room downstairs, with a toilet and shower room directly off the bedroom (guests with limited mobility have found this suits them well). Kitchen: We have a small well equipped kitchen with a table (seats six at a squeeze), dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, stove, small fridge with icebox. Living Room: The living room has two sofas, a comfy chair, and a wood burning stove (wood supplied). Garden: Access to the front door is through the garden. There are two steps and loose gravel on the path from the gate to the front door. Unusually for Findhorn, we have a garden with a lawned area, and a paved seating area. The garden is fenced. Parking: There is no parking at the cottage, however you can park one car at the far end of the laneway.

Jen and Simon are your hosts. We do not live on the property. We have a wonderful team for changeovers and maintenance, who are available to support you if needed. Myrtle Cottage used to be our family home, and we are certain you'll feel comfortable and cared for here. Our kids loved the freedom of roaming around this beautiful village, walking to the beach, tumbling down the sandy dunes, and crabbing on the pier.

Myrtle Cottage is just a few paces to the village bakery, the post office and village store. The piers on Findhorn Bay are ten minutes walk, with numerous beaches within walking distance. Local food and drink are within walking distance and include two pubs and three cafes. You likely will not need to use your car while you are here, as there are dune and beach walks close by, a local sailing school, a water taxi across to Culbin Forest, and various beaches. Local food stores include the Bakehouse Cafe (20 metres away!), the Findhorn Village Store, and the Phoenix shop at Findhorn Foundation, with an amazing selection of cheeses and craft beers!
