Our super cosy cottage has free off road parking and is situated in the foothills of the Preseli's with easy access to walks. Ancient monuments and beaches can also be found within 20 minutes by car.
This well equipped cottage has a double bedroom with a sumptuous Hypnos mattress and a large built-in wardrobe with shelves. I provide a king size duvet with soft cotton covers to aid a restful night's sleep. There's also a comfortable sofabed in the living room if needed for a third guest.
The clean modern bathroom has a large shower but no bath. Perfect for rinsing away the sand after a day on the beach!
The recently fitted kitchen-diner has a built-in washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge with icebox and Bosch oven and hob. You'll find the cupboards are well stocked with quality crockery and kitchenware to suit guests who like to eat in. For those who prefer to eat out, there are lots of great places to choose from just a short drive away. Ultra Comida in Narberth is a top favourite for a lunchtime treat.
To the front of the property is a small courtyard garden with a bench, while parking is to the side, on the left or right of the large gates which say Newfoundland.
Just across the road is The Old Pound, a stunning grade ll listed circular stone garden. Inside, and beneath the majestic silver birch you'll find a picnic bench, and during the warmer months, two rocking loungers. If you quietly watch a sunny spot on the stone wall you may be lucky enough to spot one of the resident lizards!
The Old Pound is also a secure place to allow dogs off lead safely.
Hello! I'm Nicky and with the help of my husband Ted, I love to welcome guests to our cosy cottage in Pembrokeshire. I take great pride in preparing the cottage for new guests, ensuring that the place always feels fresh, clean and cared-for.
We moved to this property in the summer of 2021 for a total change of lifestyle. Being in the foothills of the Preseli's, and a short drive from beaches has certainly provided the shift we were looking for.
We worked tirelessly to get the cottage tip-top and ready for guests, but now I can usually be found working in the garden, veggie plot or greenhouse, while Ted is often doing something mechanical in the barn.
We love animals, and you'll probably notice our chickens and two cats wandering about.
We live right next door, and are happy to help with anything we can.
We are located within the Pembrokeshire coast national park on the B4329 which runs through the Preseli's from Eglwyswrw to Haverfordwest. We are surrounded by stunning landscapes and scenery.
Within a short drive from Newfoundland Cottage you'll find many miles of coastline and beaches, the closest of which are Newport and Poppit, both dog friendly and with large carparks, café's and toilets.
You'll find ancient woodland for magical walks where moss and lichens grow. Ancient monuments such as neolithic Pentre Ifan, a fine example of a cromlech with a 15 ton capstone intact, and well worth a visit.
