We are happy to communicate with all guests as much as necessary but will otherwise leave you in peace to enjoy your stay. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive an email with full arrival instructions and all the information you need to check in at your leisure. Check-in is from 4pm, unless one of our early check-in options has been purchased. Check-out is strictly 10am, unless a late check-out option has been added to your booking. Check-in is via a secure key box; you will receive your unique key box code 7 days prior to arrival. Set just a few steps from Elie’s long, sandy beach, Norloch Cottage is a beautifully refurbished traditional cottage on sought-after South Street – a stylish coastal base for families, friends or golfers looking to enjoy the East Neuk. Elegantly decorated and thoughtfully extended to the rear, it combines original character with luxury finishes throughout, and sits only a short stroll from the High Street’s bakery, newsagent, chemist, deli, ice cream and gift/coffee shop, so you can settle in and live like a local from day one. Inside, the ground floor flows from a bright reception hall into an elegant sitting room with windows to both front and rear, original shutters, a feature fireplace with open fire and a cosy snug area – perfect for relaxed evenings after a day on the beach or the fairways. At the back, a stunning contemporary kitchen/dining extension is flooded with natural light from pitched glazing and Velux windows, and comes fully equipped with gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer and cafetière. Glass folding doors open straight onto the garden so you can drift in and out with ease. A smart ground-floor bathroom with overhead shower over the bath keeps post-beach clean-up simple. Upstairs, three beautifully styled bedrooms sleep six comfortably: a front-facing master double with traditional fire surround and wall-mounted TV, a calm double to the rear, and a cleverly designed bunk room with a small double on the bottom and a single above. There’s also a contemporary shower room with a large enclosure and vanity unit. To the rear, the garden has been completely remodelled into a fantastic three-level outdoor space, with a patio off the dining area, Astro-turf lawn and a split-level deck with generous seating, planters and a firepit – an ideal spot for lazy afternoons, evening drinks or starry night chats.

Elie is a charming seaside village in the East Neuk of Fife, known for its sweeping golden beaches, pretty harbour and relaxed holiday atmosphere. Award-winning sands stretch from Elie Harbour to Earlsferry, creating almost a mile of safe, family-friendly shoreline that’s perfect for swimming, paddling and long coastal walks. The sheltered bay is a hub for watersports, with sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking and windsurfing all available from Elie Harbour and Elie Watersports. Golfers are spoiled with the classic links of The Golf House Club, Elie on the doorstep, while the wider East Neuk offers a string of picturesque villages such as St Monans, Pittenweem, Crail and Anstruther to explore, and St Andrews is around 20 minutes’ drive away for further shopping, dining and world-famous courses.
