Whether you are a couple, a small family or an extended family we are sure that our cottages will cater for all your needs – including your pets, should you wish to bring them along. In each of the cottages there is a welcome pack just waiting for you, including bread, jam, marmalade and milk together with a selection of teas, coffees and breakfast cereals – not to forget the flowers. Please advise us if you have any dietary requirements or allergies. Alongside the welcome pack we provide all the cleaning essentials together with the self-catering basics you will need. If you want to arrange an extra special treat for someone on arrival then just let us know and we can work together to make your celebration event more memorable. Set amongst working farmland and pasture our cottages form part of a barn conversion and its outbuildings which were built around 150 years ago for the farmhouse and still working farm next door – so particularly at Harvest there are times when you will hear and see tractors and other farm vehicles coming and going about their business. Both of the cottages were rated by Visit England and gained the additional accolade of a Trip Adviser Certificate of Excellence (now called Travellers Choice) for the fourth year running. The Bee’s Knees (4* Gold) adjoins the main house with The Borrowers (5* Gold) adjacent in the courtyard, both have dedicated garden areas as well as sharing the communal gardens and amenities.

Having taken over from the previous owners in April 2024, we are very much looking forward to meeting you here at Olde Farm. Our mission here is to give people the best stay in a self-catering cottage they have ever had, and to welcome initial strangers and have them leave (and return) as friends.

Olde Farm is located between several picturesque villages in open countryside, overlooking pastures and adjacent to a working farm. We are close to essential road, rail and air travel links whilst being tucked away in the beautiful unspoilt South Norfolk countryside. There are panoramic views across fields under the ‘big Norfolk sky’ and you can walk along public footpaths and cycle along country lanes from the doorstep. We regularly see barn owls, muntjac deer, skylarks, wagtails, hares, rabbits, pheasants, wild ducks and moor hens in the vicinity, and much more besides. There are a range of local shops, play areas, pubs and restaurants within three miles, as well as some places of historical interest for those inclined to search them out. The lovely market towns of Diss, Wymondham, Harleston and Attleborough are only a short drive away, which offer shopping, cafes/restaurants, an auction house, a 900 year old Abbey, small art galleries and other facilities. Just around the corner, and less than 5 minutes walk is the private Old Buckenham Country Park, set in over 30 acres of landscaped gardens with two lakes and an abundance of wildlife.
