Company information

We started visiting Whitby 23 years ago where we got engaged. Loved it that much came back to get married as we are both from South Yorkshire. Seventeen years ago we decided to sell up and move here where we opened Overdale Guest House.

Property information

Overdale is a victorian House which was built in 1897 for a sea captain. We are situated on a hill ten minutes walk into Whitby where all the attractions and the beach are. Overdale has been renovated to a high standard. Guests feel like family.Overdale has plenty of off road parking for every guest.

Neighbourhood information

Whitby is so unspoilt it has lots of old property and is made famous by Bram Stokers Dracula. There are events ongoing most weekends throughout the year. Two Goth weekends. April and October. Music weekends such as soul, motown, 70's, 60's Regatta weekend in August and Folk week. Wartime weekend and many more. Also famous for Captain Cook.
