We love staying here. It's the perfect place to relax and escape from real life. The cabins are so cosy and comfortable and it's the perfect location to explore the Mournes.

The glamping site is perched on the side of a mountain and is a natural lookout. The land here falls away, down to the sea and the base of the Mournes. Birds sing from mature trees and in the summer, grasshoppers hop through the grasses. We are far from urban busyness here so the peace can be appreciated, yet it is under 20 minutes to the beach and less to the forests. There is plenty of space for children to play. The lower of our 2 pods, it is designed so you can enjoy the 180 degree view while enjoying the comforts of inside: it is the perfect place to relax. The pod is heated by a woodburner and is designed to be warm, even in winter. It is generously sized with a super king and a full sized bunk bed. There are also a table and chairs, a sofa and a comfy chair. The site is largely unlit so as to maintain the beauty of the night and a sense of adventure. There is one telescope to borrow if you wish to explore the moon's surface. The kitchen and washrooms are shared: they are in between the pod and the carpark. The pod is a steep 2 minutes walk uphill from the parking area so if you have restricted mobility you will struggle. I offer the beauty of nature, a firepit and board games rather than wifi and TV.
I love this region and work hard to ensure my guests take home great memories of their stay.
This an area of hill farms, 2 miles from the small town of Castlewellan. The mountains, beaches and forests bring tourists from all over Ireland, the UK and the rest of Europe. If you like the outdoors you will find plenty to enjoy.
