The Granary is a beautiful Tudor building with lots of original oak beams and rustic character. This traditional charm is complemented by modern decor and furnishings to provide a cosy but stylish home-from-home. Guests have access to free WiFi, a full range of kitchen appliances, a large flat screen TV with a Blu-ray player, and a high-quality Bluetooth sound system. The upstairs double bedroom is vaulted with an ensuite bathroom. Downstairs, there is the kitchen, living room, shower room and twin bedroom, with an additional two single mattresses if required. The Garden outside is fully fenced and is a suntrap in the summer. We have a couple of deckchairs and an outside table and chairs for 6 persons for having lovely alfresco meals. Occasionally you'll have Spitfires and other magnificent vintage planes flying over head and beautiful birds to spot and look at other times! Important: We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we've partnered with Know Your Guest, the leading vacation rental guest-screening provider. Please note that before your booking begins, you will need to verify your details and ID through Know Your Guest. You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.

Situated two mins' drive from the gorgeous Kentish village of Headcorn, where there are tea-rooms, antique shops, butcher, bakery, country pubs, hairdressers, a spa, a Sainsbury Local, various restaurants and even a deli. The local train station is Headcorn, which can take you direct to London in an hour. You can also travel the other way on the train towards Ashford International for the amazing Ashford designer outlet centre, and on to Canterbury and beyond for gorgeous seaside towns. The Headcorn Aerodrome has an abundance of activities and spectator events to offer, including hot air balloon rides, pleasure flights to Dover over the countryside, Spitfire flights, air-walking and even parachuting for the brave! In the summer, there are classic car meets, model shows , the Battle of Britain air show, and plenty more. Do check the websites for details and book well in advance of your stay to avoid disappointment. Despite its rural location, The Granary is just 15 mins drive from Maidstone and 15 mins drive from Ashford. Nearby is also the magnificent Leeds Castle, which is set in the most beautiful grounds, where you can experience castle tours and Segway hire and get lost in the traditional maze or try the GO-APE facility. There are many golf courses nearby, ranging from the excellent 9 hole course at Leeds Castle through to professional standard courses, such as Royal St Georges. Getting around You can park your vehicle on the site of the property itself. Please do so allowing through access to the barn behind the Granary garden. There is also a bus stop within walking distance, where you can catch a bus into Headcorn village, but they are not very regular, so be sure to check time-tables. It is recommended to have a car with you, but if you fancy a night out for dinner and a drink, there are local taxis who can collect you and return you home, if you book in advance.
