Our ground floor apartment is spacious and newly refurbished, in the stunning Lake District just a short 10 minute walk from Lake Windermere and the local attractions and eateries in Bowness. We have a BBQ and patio furniture in our private garden for those summer days and Netflix and Sky Sports for when it gets cold and rainy plus board games for all the family. Free parking is available for 2 cars. Please note there is quite a steep hill from Bowness to the apartment. The Lake View Apartment is a pet friendly spacious apartment situated on a hill, giving beautiful views over Bowness and Lake Windermere from the balcony, with a great size living room. Make sure to help yourselves to tea and coffee. There is also a Nespresso machine for your use with a variety of coffees to choose from. Our apartment can sleep 6 people, with 2 double bedrooms (1 king size bed and 2 twin beds) and a large living area with 2 sofa beds. We provide wardrobe space and a dressing table area. We also have a washing machine for your convenience. We have a BBQ and garden furniture in our garden. There is free parking available for 1 car on the driveway and there is also free street parking in front of the apartment, with accessible entryway. We welcome 2 small well behaved dogs and have dog beds and treats waiting for them. We have a non-smoking policy for all our guests comfort. We do have a ring doorbell to keep our property safe when unoccupied. Unfortunately we are unable to host parties including hen and stag parties. There is a wide choice of cafes and restaurants with outdoor seating including Italian, tapas, Thai, traditional pubs and many more on your doorstop in Bowness and Windermere. Within a 10 minute walk, you can find local supermarkets, a cinema and the popular boat tours from Lake Windermere as well as the famous Beatrix Potter attraction. Windermere Golf Course is 2.3 miles away and there are lots of walking trails including dog friendly trails of all distances on the doorstep. Walking into Bowness from Windermere train station will take approximately 30 minutes. Exploring the area by bus: Hop on a bus to Newby Bridge from Bowness Pier or travel to other areas such as Grasmere, Coniston and Ambleside from Windermere train station where buses leave from. The 555 bus route runs from Kendal to Lancaster, stopping at all the popular villages and top tourist attractions. By train: Windermere is the closest train station and you can take the 599 bus into Bowness which takes about 6 minutes and runs frequently. Windermere train station is the end of the line and has direct trains which run as far south as Manchester Airport. You can transfer at Oxenholme The Lake District (near Kendal) on the main West Coast line to the Windermere branch line. Oxenholme to Windermere takes approximately 20 minutes.
