The Pleasant Point Holiday Cottage and Lodges are a family ran business. Your hosts, Lorraine and Richard Comfort have been in the hospitality business for almost 2 decades now, having previously ran hotels and busy restaurants in the city of Inverness. 'Pleasant Point Cottage', 'Geraldine Lodge' and the soon to be 'Temuka Lodge' form the 'Pleasant Point Holiday Cottages, with their names being inspired by their trips to New Zealand. Pleasant Point Cottage is a tastefully decorated, 1 bedroom ground floor cottage which sleeps up to 4 people comfortably with its double bed, single bed and sofa bed set up. Geraldine Lodge, is a newly constructed 1 bedroom ground floor open plan unit that can sleep up to 3 - 4 people with its double bed and sofa bed. Temuka Lodge, similar to Geraldine, is still currently under construction, but will be bookable real soon. Again, it will be a 1 bedroom open plan unit. All cottages / lodges can be let out together for larger parties.

Both the cottage and lodge are modern, clean and comfortable. They are well equipped, immaculate and all you need for an enjoyable stay on the Bonnie Black Isle. Situated in the picturesque countryside between Rosemarkie and Cromarty, the cottages/lodges are centrally located in the heart of the beautiful Black Isle, and are only a 25 minutes from Inverness by car. As Rosemarkie and Cromarty are on one of the main tourist routes within the Highlands, there are plenty of activities near by to see and do. There are dolphin tour boats operating on a seasonal basis. The Moray Firth is famous for its bottle nosed dolphins and they regularly make an appearance round by the Chanonry Point Light House and in and around the harbour at Fortrose. There are also many wild birds of prey that can be spotted within the area such as the rare 'Red Kite'. The Black Isle hosts numerous attractive beaches, with the award winning Rosemarkie Beach being no exception and only 5 minutes away by car. Also in Rosemarkie, you'll find the Groam House Museum which is full of interesting artifacts and local knowledge about the area. In Cromarty , there are historic churches, archaeological digs and Hugh Millers' birthplace, cottage and museum. Miller rose to international acclaim as a geologist, editor and writer.
