Guests visiting the area can take in the delights of Puzzle Wood, the pre-Roman open cast iron workings & the fourteen mazes of pathways, rock ravines, secret doorways and passages. It is also home to where some ’Star Wars’ movies, ’Robin Hood Prince of Thieves’ and parts of ’Harry Potter’ were filmed. Clearwell Castle and Caves, are a unique iron mining museum, and underground cavern from the Iron Age, and are well worth a visit. There are lovely historic towns throughout the Forest of Dean and Gloucestershire, including Symonds Yat and Newent, with excellent cycling and walking locally. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
