A pretty cottage in a peaceful location in Old Alcombe on the edge of the Exmoor National Park, a walkers paradise, ideal for a romantic break, family holiday or perfect for you and your dog! This lovely Grade II listed cottage was built for the local lime kiln workers and is one of a terrace of cottages, which cluster around a charming chapel. A peaceful location in the older part of Alcombe, a few minutes from Exmoor National Park boundary just up the hill beyond the cottages.
Our love of Exmoor brought us to Lime Cottage, we enjoy the outdoors, the stunning scenery, walking with our dog up on to the moor straight from the cottage door and also enjoy a pint of cider down at the local pub just down the lane.
A lovely group of old cottages with pretty gardens to the front and suntrap courtyard gardens to the back with a quaint spiritual chapel anchoring them together. A quiet area with very friendly and welcoming neighbours. It's a few minutes walk up the hill to the boundary of Exmoor National Park. Twenty minutes walk into the seaside town of Minehead for shops, restaurants and West Somerset Steam Railway. The medieval village of Dunster with its' castle and yarn market is also within walking distance from the cottage. Our favourite thing to do while staying at Lime Cottage is to take a picnic and walk up to Exmoor and enjoy the views. The cottage is perfectly located for exploring both the coast, a 5 minute drive away, and the moor which is just a few minutes walk up the lane and a great local pub just a minutes walk down the lane, it couldn't be better. The pub is people as well as dog friendly too! Parking is available on the road side close to the cottage
