The location of this property really couldn’t be better. It is just a stone’s throw from Ward Park, one of Bangor’s most loved green spaces and a real highlight for families and visitors alike. The park features a chain of small lakes that provide a sanctuary for wildfowl, along with aviaries housing a variety of exotic birds — particularly enjoyable for children and nature lovers.
Ward Park also hosts the popular weekly parkrun every Saturday at 9:30am, welcoming all ages and abilities, including walkers, families with buggies, and seasoned runners. During July and August, the park’s bandstand comes alive with free live music every Sunday from 3pm–5pm as part of the annual Open House Festival. The park has also hosted major open-air concerts at the Ward Arras side, welcoming international artists as well as local favourites such as Snow Patrol.
Bangor’s main street and high street are just a 5-minute walk (approx. 0.3 miles) away, offering a wide choice of coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, and bars — many with live music and family-friendly dining options.
