A very pleasant walk from the Minster, through Beverley’s historic streets and market places, will bring you to the beautiful St Mary’s Church where, if you look carefully, you’ll find the carved rabbit which Lewis Carroll brought to life as the March Hare in Alice in Wonderland. A day at the races is another real holiday treat and Beverley Racecourse puts on a great show on race days. York is approximately 25 miles away Attractions are thick underfoot in York! Highlights include the magnificent York Minster the largest Gothic Cathedral north of the Alps, and the Castle Museum with its perfectly recreated Victorian and Edwardian street-scenes.
