Riverbanc is part of the Safe and Sound Outdoors group and incorporates our outdoor activity business. We run Whitewater Rafting on the River Dee and a number of other activities too. We have been established for over 15 years and have grown year on year. Originally an outdoor activity company supplying school groups with fantastic outdoor adventure we had the chance to buy "Riverbanc" in 2016 and refurbished it over the following two years. We decided to set up a coffee shop in the building from our love for good coffee and the inability to get a decent coffee in Llangollen or much of North Wales for that matter. Our rooms were designed by Hannah (bosses wife) a former art teacher and now freelance artist. The whole look and feel of the building is down to her eye.

Riverbanc was fully refurbished in 2019. From a former Midland Bank into a boutique hotel with stunning rooms, views and facilities. Incorporating a fantastic coffee shop and outdoor centre we have it all here. All our rooms are individual and many have bespoke, handmade beds and all the facilities you’d expect from a modern boutique hotel. All rooms have USB sockets as standard, flat screen smart TVs, cafetière with our own filter coffee available. All our rooms and the whole hotel benefit from keyless entry (the building is un-manned between 5pm - 7am). You will be emailed your door codes 24 hours proir to arrival to minimise contact. All door locks are cleaned regularly and thoroughly. The rooms have all been very stylishly upgraded from its former past and you will enjoy light, bright, warm rooms with fantastic views of Llangollen town centre or the River Dee.
