Your accommodation is unique in that is is a renovated shipping container. It is beautiful inside and has had no expense spared, guaranteeing the utmost comfort. You have a gorgeous, comfortable, King size bed with an excellent mattress, ensuring a good nights sleep. This was changed after feedback that the double bed was causing a few issues, and the feedback for the new bed has been superb. The bathroom is simple with a huge 1200 mm power shower, wash hand basin, toilet and heated towel rail. The sitting area is comfortable and has a nice wee two seater leather sofa. There is a 32" Samsung smart tv. Perfect for those cosy nights in, watching catch up, if you have had a hard day on the hill or you have been out and about and just fancy chilling. You have a small fridge which will have a few supplies, for your convenience. There is a coffee making machine, a kettle, toaster and combo microwave. There is a nice feeling of space, just perfect for two people to relax. There are two large picture windows, that allow you to take in the view, with a nice feeling of privacy. You also have an area outside with seats and a picnic bench, where you can strike up a BBQ or light the Chiminea or fire pit, if you want to sit out and have a glass of wine on a nice evening, whilst looking out on to the hill.

I worked for an International Airline for 26 years and therefore travelled extensively, so I would like to think I know a wee bit about what folk are looking for whilst travelling. If it is not supplied, you only have to ask. I like to create an atmosphere where you feel completely at home and happy to come and go, knowing that I am around and about if you need me. I do have animals, but this won't impact on your stay, unless you want it to. They are very friendly but know their place. I work as a freelance photographer and I spend a lot of the time outdoors or on the hill myself so I am good for recommending walks and different places of interest. I am also a keen snowboarder and will look forward to welcoming folk with similar interests. Since leaving the airline, I found that I missed meeting people from all walks of life, and by letting out my wee cabin, then I get to fill that need and look forward to meeting as many of you from different places, as possible. I have a motorbike and there are some great routes up here for the bikers amongst you and in-fact, I intend to do the North 500 at some point so maybe some of you might be able to give me some travel tips.

Spean Bridge is a village in the heart of the Highlands. Perfectly central for heading to Glencoe, the road to the isles, Skye and the North. The famous Commando Memorial is literally 1/2 mile from here. We are surrounded by lovely walks. The river Spean runs through the village and Loch Lochy is no distance and if you know where to look and the timing is right, you may have a chance of seeing the Northern Lights. The village has four really good places to eat, three of which are within walking distance. There is a Spar shop, a woollen mill, and Highland Soap shop, all minutes from where you are staying. The ski resort is approx 4 miles from here. The gondola is a nice wee day out and there are cafes and restaurants if you just want to check out the views and have a hot chocolate. Ben Nevis is easily accessible for those of you who come prepared and want to walk up the tourist path or for the more hardy, who want to climb it. At the foot of the Ben, there is a lovely inn, that serves great beer and good food. Morar sands is a great attraction and absolutely stunning. You pass through Glenfinnan, and Bonny Prince Charlie monument, to get there. There is so much to see.
