Royd is a lovely two bedroom holiday cottage situated at Lower Aylescott and within easy reach of Ilfracombe and North Devon's premier beaches. The cottage sleeps up to four and is the perfect home-away-from-home. Whilst staying at Lower Aylescott guests have access to onsite communal gardens, two fishing lakes and a children's play area.

Lower Aylescott is located in the pretty North Devon village of West Down. The village is just a short drive from the popular beaches at Woolacombe and Croyde, both of which are patrolled by lifeguards in the summer season and are ideal for families or those looking to do some water sports. Also, within easy reach is the harbour town of Ilfracombe, home to Damien Hirst's famous bronze-clad statue, Verity and a selection of places to eat and shop. Braunton is also close by and has a wide range of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. For those looking to get out and about the South West Coast Path is easily accessed nearby and the Tarka Trail, a handy mainly tarmacked footpath and cycle route begins in Braunton. Local attractions within a 30 minute drive include Exmoor Zoo, Arlington Court, Watermouth Castle and Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park. Golf can be enjoyed at either Ilfracombe Golf Club or the championship course located at Saunton, horse riding is available at either Mullacott Riding Stables or Calvert Trust.
