Hammonds is one of the notable period properties in the village. Part of the house dates back 450 years with a beautiful Georgian addition to the front. The house has a mix of period features and generous spaces. With outside space to enjoy good weather and al fresco dining and a cosy fireplace and comfy sofas for colder weather, Hammonds has something to offer all year round.

We are always exited to welcome families or groups of friends to make memories in our house. We really love North Devon and hope that our guests do too. We are a family that enjoy water sports and a day on the beach, paddle boarding or heading to one of the big sandy surfing beaches when the waves are favourable. As keen gardeners, we look forward to spending time in Hammond's wild, country garden.

The Castle Inn is our favourite pub for a pint and the Pack 'o Cards is great for Sunday lunch or a meal out. Sundowners are great either on the beach or at the Sandy Cove Hotel. Woods pub in Dulverton does a very good meal in a charming setting. There are lots of lovely walks as we are on the South West Coast path. Visit Ilfracombe or Barnstaple for bigger supermarkets or shopping. Our favourite villages are South Molton, Lynton and Lynmouth and Braunton for independent shops and eateries. For families, there is Exmoor Zoo and the Dinosaur Park just outside the village. There are small railways nearby. Exmoor is beautiful in all seasons, we recommend going horseriding on the moor.
