The cottage is 200mtr from the end of the road so it has little traffic and no street lights. It is situated on the edge of the loch. The cottage interior retains its original wooden lining and is very traditional in layout with two bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom downstairs. It has a secluded garden to the rear and an open one to the front that looks onto the loch. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a self catering cottage should have including fridge , washing machine , cooker , microwave and all utensils. Modern improvements include a powerful walk-in shower , smart TV , business speed wifi , a log burning fire and an underfloor heated bathroom.

Andrew lives next door and always tries to meet every guest on arrival day to answer questions and give a short tour of the cottage. His family are the fifth generation to live in his house. He is usually on hand to resolve any issues or give directions. He can also be reached by text or whats-app during your stay if required.

Sgurr Urans location in the village is perfect. A very quiet road , right beside the loch , 20 minute walk to Eilean Donan Castle and eight miles from the Skye bridge. High tides reach the front garden and the views from the cottage itself are uninterrupted in both directions and to the hills on the other side. Loch ness is forty five minutes away and Applecross is one hour. A great central location for mountain climbers also.
