The Siskin Suite is the perfect little bolt hole for two, situated beside a forest track on the edge of Dalnavert, near Aviemore. This self-contained, private annex, located to the side of the owner's residence offers the chance to escape from the hustle and bustle. You enter the suite through a private gate which leads you into an enclosed garden and patio area making this a very dog friendly retreat. This outdoor space is also the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening sundowner, whilst watching the birds and wildlife in the surrounding woodland. Cheeky red squirrels, badgers, roe deer and pine martens are all regular visitors. Entering through the large patio doors you find yourself in an attractive, modern bedroom (with sumptuous king sized bed), dining area and small preparation area providing a kettle, toaster, microwave, and a mini fridge for your convenience. Heading through, you find a deluxe shower room with a generous walk-in shower. Even on the coldest of winter days, with underfloor heating throughout, you can stay cosy whilst you enjoy the views from the studio, with the floor to ceiling windows. The property does not have a kitchen. We do provide in the room simple breakfast items of cereal, porridge pots, cereal bars, tea, coffee, orange juice and long life milk for your consumption. Please note the suite is located down an unmade forestry track, hence the lovely, quiet setting within woodland. It is accessible for all vehicle types, however we do recommend keeping to approx. 10m per hour on the track as it is untreated.

Lying in the heart of the Cairngorms and surrounded by woodland and nature, the River Spey and numerous walks are all accessible directly from the suite. With Loch Insh only 3 miles and Aviemore 5 miles away, this really is the perfect retreat for two. Siskin is a fabulous centre for a Scottish Highland touring holiday all year round – with superb nature surrounding the property. There are many iconic tourist destinations within easy reach - including the Speyside Malt Whiskey Trail, Cairngorm Mountain range, Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Inverness, Isle of Skye, and Eilean Donan Castle and much, much more! However more locally and from your own doorstep there are a number of scenic gems including– Ben Macdui (2nd highest mountain in Scotland), Kinnapole Hill with views to Loch an Eileen, Uath Lochans, the River Spey, Loch Insh Watersports, Loch Eanaich and Achlean waterfall to name but a few. When the Winter season is in full swing Siskin is also a great base for snowsports, with ski hire nearby and excellent access to the slopes on the Cairngorms or the even the Nevis Range.
