You are settled just a short drive from the pristine south coast, where you can reach the quintessentially Cornish seaside town of Looe or the still waters of Talland Bay in around 15 minutes by car. Par Sands is just 30 minutes away, offering vast expanses of sand, which your beloved pooch will adore.
Looe is a popular and picturesque town located in the South East of Cornwall. The town is divided by the stunning Looe River; West Looe is considered quieter but hosts an array of local shops and eateries, while East Looe is home to the busy fishing harbour. While staying near Looe you will not want to miss an opportunity to visit the stunning Looe Island. It lies roughly a mile off coast and covers an area of twenty-two acres. The partially wooded island enjoys breath-taking views as far as Prawle Point in Devon and the Lizard Peninsula. The island is a natural sanctuary for birds and is the perfect day trip for wildlife lovers.
For the lovers of Poldark, there is a lovely walk from Looe to the wonderful village of Polperro. Explore the Georgian port of Charlestown, which is still a bustling port today, spend some time wandering up and down the harbour, admiring the tall ships and being transported to a bygone era. For charming gift shops, sailing boats and picturesque houses down winding alleys, head to Fowey just 30 minutes away.
