As a guest at Stā by the Bridge, you'll be perfectly situated to explore this charming city. Don’t miss the iconic Inverness Castle, which provides fantastic views and beautiful gardens. The Inverness Museum and Art Gallery is nearby, showcasing local wildlife and Highland culture. Enjoy scenic riverside walks along the River Ness, keeping an eye out for the famous Nessie! Inverness boasts a fantastic array of restaurants. Try The Mustard Seed for local dishes with stunning river views, or grab classic fish and chips from a local shop. The city centre features a mix of independent shops and high-street brands; be sure to visit the Victorian Market for the best seafood and Scottish scran! As the sun sets, experience the vibrant nightlife with cozy pubs and lively bars. Inverness is also the gateway to breathtaking landscapes—take a day trip to Loch Ness or explore the Cairngorms National Park. The Bridge Street area of Inverness was originally reconstructed during the late 1950s and early 1960s. At that time, the old Ness Suspension Bridge and buildings on both sides of Bridge Street were demolished and replaced with concrete structures. The building on the corner of Bridge Street and Bank Street was the headquarters of the Highlands and Islands Development Board (HIDB). This was given a facelift in the 2000s, and the new 'By the Bridge' complex now houses luxury apartments with views of Inverness Castle and the River Ness. Further along Bank Street, on the left of the photograph, the spires of St Columba's High Church, the Free North Church, and the Old High Church can be seen.
