Located on the Isle of Benbecula, which is between North and South Uist in the Outer Hebrides. The cottage itself has been fully renovated, even including a new thatch to ensure the authentic Blackhouse appearance. Open plan living is the set-up at one end of the cottage, and there is a double bedroom and bathroom at the other end. There is a garden that wraps around the property. Taigh Violet Rose is an excellent, historic property set in a truly outstanding destination. The island is accessible by ferry from mainland Scotland to either North or South Uist and then a causeway joins the islands. Alternatively, you can fly to tiny Benbecula Airport from Glasgow which is only a couple of miles from Taigh Violet Rose. Benbecula has many white sand beaches along its west, Atlantic coast.
