Making sure guests get the most out of their visit to the area. I am based on the premises so if you need anything I will be happy to help. There as leaflets in the barn with information on local walks and places to visit as well as local taxi firms and pub/restaurants.

Whixley is situated in the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire. It is a quiet and conveniently located village. Situated mid way between York and Harrogate there is also easy access to Boroughbridge, Knaersborough and Ripon. We have an abundance of historic houses in the area. Nearby we have Allerton Castle, Newby Hall & Gardens, Ripley Castle, Harewood House as well as Castle Howard and many more. The Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Park are all accessible day trips. The coast at Scarborough, Bridlington and Whitby are also accessible day trips. About 1.5miles is Cattal train station which links us to York Harrogate and Leeds. We are also 2 miles offthe A1. There is also a bus service in the village to York and Ripon. Harrogate and York are approx 10 miles away. There is also a park ride on the A59 for easy access to the centre of York. If you are keen cyclists we can also provide a secure space for cycles in one of the locked sheds.
