I’m over the moon that you are here & always delighted to share what its like owning, running & staying at Geufron Farm in beautiful south of the Snowdonia National Park. And by me, I really mean us – Dean (my husband) & I, plus our two adventure pups, Bracken & Dottie! So, let me explain how Geufron Farm came to be… After well over 2 decades working in online financial services, the buzz of corporate life had finally worn thin for Dean and I. We knew we needed a new challenge. The idea for a place for those who love adventure & the outdoors to recharge from the stresses of everyday life was born on a day spent in the mountains. The search was on to find the perfect spot! In 2018 after much searching across Europe we stumbled upon Geufron Farm, in the south of the Snowdonia National Park. Despite its sorry state at the time, instantly it just felt right. We always knew we had A LOT of work to do to breathe new life into The Old Farmhouse & Barns. Little did we know driving towards Bryncrug on a dark evening in 2020 as the new owners that just a few weeks later the whole of the UK would go into lockdown & our dream of opening our 5 beautiful farm properties to guests would be halted. What a time to buy a hospitality business! We could have crumbled but instead, we upped the budget and ripped out & renovated even more than we had first planned. Think Escape to the Chateau ... but on a farm, in Wales. Our friends must have thought we were off our rocker, but we knew that this special place deserved a really special overhaul. The Barn sleeps 4 in an upstairs double (sloped ceiling on one side of bed) and a twin bedroom. It benefits from shower room with a separate WC which are also accessed by a short flight of stairs. A great entertaining space: The Barn has a large open plan kitchen diner with a large living space set round a log effect fire making it the perfect property to relax & enjoy with family or friends. Pets welcome: With hillside walks right from the doorstep, dog friendly beaches & the local dog friendly pub just a 10 min walk away you can be sure that your best friend will have the holiday of a lifetime. Just a minutes walk from The Barn you will find our enclosed dog play field, perfect for morning walks, playing ball or just watching the world go by from 'Bert's Bench'. The Barn has also had the paw of approval from Geufron Farm’s top dogs, Bracken & Dottie. Parking for 2 cars: The property is accessed via steps from the main parking area. Our 6 holiday homes at Geufron Farm all include: Well equipped kitchen: All our kitchens come with dishwasher and everything you need to rustle up a wonderful feast. Or if you prefer not to cook the local pub is just a 15 minute walk away across the fields. Smart TV, Amazon Alexa & Wifi: We know how important it is to stay connected while you are away so all our properties come with free wifi. Smart TVs allow you to keep up to date with your favourite shows and Alexa is on hand to quickly find out the weather forecast or play your favourite tunes. Dogs welcome: Up to 4 house trained dogs are welcome to stay with you at The Barn. A fee of 25 pound per dog per stay fee is payable to the owner prior to your arrival. Pay as You Go Electric Vehicle Charger available in main parking area. Please note: access is via steps. A 100 pound refundable housekeeping deposit applies and is arranged directly with the property owner after booking.

WHAT’S THE AREA LIKE? Geufron Farm is perfectly placed for outdoor adventures with your dog. Step out to waymarked trails, fields, and valleys. From mountains to sea, the landscape offers something for all ages. WHERE’S THE NEAREST PUB? The dog-friendly Peniarth Arms is a 15-minute stroll across the fields, serving great food, a proper pint, and a warm welcome for muddy boots and waggy tails. Most local pubs, restaurants, and attractions welcome dogs. WHAT ABOUT THE COAST? Tywyn (10 mins) and Aberdyfi (15 mins) are perfect for sandy walks, boat trips, and fish & chips. We’ll share our favourite quiet beaches in our guidebook. Further afield, visit Barmouth, Fairbourne, Dolgellau, Aberystwyth, and Harlech. ARE THERE GOOD WALKS NEARBY? Plenty! Stroll to Bryncrug and along the river to Tywyn. Explore woodland at Ynysmaengwyn, waterfalls at Dolgoch, and endless coastal paths. Mountain lovers will enjoy Cadair Idris, just 15 minutes away. ANYTHING FOR ADVENTURE-SEEKERS? Yes! Dyfi Bike Park has world-class trails. Visit the Dyfi Osprey Project, Corris Caverns, or ride the Talyllyn Railway.
